A Mother's Day Breakfast and Spa

We had a wonderful time celebrating our beautiful moms on Friday morning.  The children read their stories in front of the entire audience (way to go Doodlebugs)!  I was very proud of each and every one of them because standing up and performing in front of an audience is kind of scary!  They all did a fabulous job!  We enjoyed yummy food!  The children did a wonderful job in the spa stations.  The moms received manicures, massages, and a fun photo booth!  We love our moms!!  Here are pictures from our special morning!

Pictures of the Moms getting their backs and heads massaged!

Manicure station!  Lotion massages for their hands and arms and then beautiful nail polish!

Photo Booth Fun!!!

Mother's Day Devotional

Here is a Mother's Day Devotional for all the wonderful Doodlebugs' Moms!
One of our Doodlebugs' artwork is featured!

"Comfort, comfort my people, says your God." Isaiah 40:1

Wiping away tears, cheering on a good effort, sharing a laugh, soothing the hurts, encouraging to persevere, celebrating an accomplishment, holding a hand, chasing away doubts, correcting wrongs, teaching new skills, developing talents, stomping out fear, hugging just because you care... everyday i watch mothers doing this and much more for children... children by blood and children by heart.

Happy Mother's Day weekend to all who love, inspire and build up God's most precious and valuable gems...  His little ones.  You make a difference to many.
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." 2 Corinthians 2:3-4

Lion King Devotional 3

"For those God foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of His Son..." Romans 8:29

A wrap up and final Lion King thought...

After fleeing from home, a skeptical Simba ponders returning.  Will he go and face his fears? He needs and wants his father.  Rafiki leads him to the waterhole where his reflection reveals his father's image.  Seeing Mufasa alive in him, Simba finds the strength to return home.

Fears, doubts, trials, we all experience them.  Fleeing from them is at best a temporary solution.  Only when we remember and claim the power of our Father in us will we truly be set free. The One True King, He lives in you.   When we are weak, He is strong.
More of You, Father, and less of me;
Then with You i will soar for eternity.
