The Votes Are In....

I love election day because it reminds me of the great country we live in and all the freedoms we have in America!  After visiting other countries the last few days it really made me aware of how good we've got it!  We should feel honored and blessed to be a part of such a wonderful country!  I'm proud to be an American and I wanted to share a devotional that I loved reading this morning; the morning after election day!  (this devotional was written by my friend and colleague, Veneal Williams)

                                           

"Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men/women who must give an account." Hebrews 13:17

Father, may You be the guiding force and conscience of all elected to serve, represent and care for the welfare of us, Your children.   We pray for Your strength and wisdom to prevail in all issues.  Help us to be obedient to You in respecting and praying for our leaders - of the church, government and other groups.   

One day they, as well as us, will be held accountable for our actions. May it be good.
