More Science Fun

Thursday, we looked at the properties of different types of candy.  We used Skittles, Starburst, and gummy bears.  The students listed the properties of each type of candy.  We did get to eat enjoy our treats after we finished our experiment.

Matter

We have had a lot of fun learning about matter and properties of matter.  

Discovering properties of paper towels.  The students experimented with different types of paper for absorbency and strength.  They used Bounty paper towels, school paper towels, and toilet paper to clean up water spills.  They learned that the Bounty paper towel was the best to absorb the water and it did not fall apart when wet.

Welcome to Second Grade 2022-2023
