Christmas Devotional

Our sweet friend, Mrs. Veneal Williams, wrote a beautiful Christmas devotional and a piece of our artwork was featured and so I must share!

"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom His favor rests." Luke 2:14

Do you hear what i hear?  Good News can be found!
Angels we have heard on high exclaim, " Jesus is coming to town!"
Come all ye faithful, be filled with His joy and love,
A silent, holy night will then give you His Peace from above.

Deck the halls, we have reason to shout!
Christ the LORD has risen! let there be no doubt.
Oh, Christmas tree, oh, Christmas tree, your beauty i see,
is about celebrating what Jesus did for you and me.

So, you better not cry, you better not pout,
Hark! the herald angels still sing it out!
Joy to the world, the Lord has come!
Have yourself a merry 'lil Christmas... each and every one!

friend, we are loved and chosen by God,
veneal

Christmas Party, Gifts, and Bingo!

On top of Gingerbread houses and a visit from Santa, we had our Christmas Party at the end of the day!  It was a one of a kind party!  We had gifts for our whole class, we had gifts for the teachers, the children took home gifts for their parents and themselves, and we had BINGO with Julie Stephens as the MC/game show hostess!  It was a treat!!  I was actually having so much fun that I didn't take very many pictures at all.  I was laughing so hard at our game show hostess and the children!

Look at all the great gifts our class got today!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!  The doodlebugs are going to love these!!!!

A visit from Santa!

Santa came today and boy did we have fun with him!  It was a bitter sweet day because this is the last year that Santa will be able to visit us at Pine Street.  When he got ready to leave, he just hugged me and cried!  I was so sad to say good bye, but it is time for Santa to take a little break from visiting schools!  He is going to be missed greatly!  We love you Santa!

Mrs. Polly Wolly and Mrs. Anderson told Santa what we wanted for Christmas!!  I hope we are on the "Nice" list!

We are going to miss this sweet face next year!!

Santa is giving us some advice before he leaves!

The Pine Street Teachers get one last picture with Santa before he leaves!!

Gingerbread Houses

Today was the best day ever!  We started the morning out by decorating our Gingerbread Houses.  We had lots of help from parents and grandparents!  The houses turned out to be adorable!!  We ate lots of sweet treats and nibbled all day!  Here are a few pictures of our special morning!  I hope you enjoy the Gingerbread Houses to add some Christmas decorations to your home!  I will have another post for the rest of the day!  Things just kept getting better and better!

Oh How Thankful We Are!

Thanksgiving is the greatest time of year because it gives everyone time to reflect on all the things we have to be thankful for.

Yesterday I was reminded of how thankful I am to be at such a wonderful school with such wonderful and loving families!  We had a blast yesterday as we celebrated Thanksgiving with our Pine Street Family!  The children enjoyed all the delicious food and time to fellowship with their friends and family.

Thank you so much for all your contributions to make yesterday such a huge success!  We were thankful that so many parents came and helped  serve plates and to help serve second helpings!  The doodlebugs ate lots of yummy food!

Happy Thanksgiving!  Have a safe and happy week!
We will see you in December!!!!

Are they adorable or what?  Cutest little Indians I have ever seen!

Look at how beautiful the table is set!  The children made everything on the table, even their napkin rings!
