A Sweet Devotional

Our artwork was featured in Ms. Williams' devotion today so I must share and it is very much worth sharing!!!!
I am also taking her advice from the devotion this morning.  I am taking off to Disney World in the morning and it will give me time to enjoy some of God's magnificent creations and the magic at Disney!  Please pray for my family as we travel this week and I look forward to seeing everyone on Monday!  I hate to leave and at one of the craziest times of the year, but my child was born on October 30th and we are celebrating his birthday (and he is turning 13 YIKES, where did the time go?)!  Have a safe and wonderful Halloween!!

"The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped." Psalm 28:7

Report cards, special events, rain (NO recess), full moon, Halloween week... it's enough to make any sane teacher scream.  Can you take anymore?

JUST TAKE JESUS...

If you find yourself coming unraveled at the edges this week, go to the One who can and will mend you back together.  Just a few minutes alone with God each day will soothe the soul and restore peace.  Now, that's something to really scream about!!

A Four Legged Visit

We enjoyed meeting our star student's precious dog this week!  Loki came to visit and he really loved the children and the camera!

Happy Birthday to a Sweet Girl!

Happy Birthday to a sweet 6 year old!  We enjoyed cupcakes, ice cream and juice!  We hope you had the best birthday ever!!

Puff The Bearded Dragon

Meet our Puff the Bearded Dragon:  I like to think of him as Puff the Magic Dragon because everything is magical in Kindergarten!

We finally got our Bearded Dragon this week and the children are thrilled!  He is very fascinating and we love watching him throughout the day!  He looks like a baby dinosaur!  Here are a couple of pictures of Puff eating his Romaine lettuce this morning!

Firefighters Visit

We had the Firefighters from the City of Spartanburg visit our classroom a couple of weeks ago.  We learned about fire safety and what to do if we are ever in a fire.  The children loved going outside to tour the firetruck!

 Look at those good listeners!!!

We loved seeing the fire truck and all the equipment on the truck!

While we were outside looking at the fire truck, we looked up in the sky and saw a cross!  Just a sweet reminder that He is always looking over us!!!

A Daily Devotional

I have mentioned on the blog before that Veneal Williams, our library assistant, writes devotionals for the teachers every single day.  She uses pictures throughout the school in her devotions and whenever she uses one of our class, then I like to post them on the blog!  Here is today's devotional:

"Satisfy us in the morning with Your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days." Psalm 91:14

There's no "lion" here... God is CRAZY about you!!

Happy Birthday!!!

We celebrated a special boy's birthday with yummy cookies and delicious grapes!  His favorite football team is the Carolina Panthers and so we had football shaped cookies!  He had a surprise lunch visit from his dad and mom brought all the sweet treats!!

We hope your birthday wish comes true!!

We Found Our Thrill on Strawberry Hill

We could not have asked for a more amazing day for a field trip!  We were truly blessed with beautiful weather and wonderfully behaved children!  This was our first time visiting Strawberry Hill and we were very impressed with the whole experience!  The farm is beautiful and the facilities were great for a picnic!  The children had a blast and so did the adults!  We learned lots of new facts about farm life!  It is a wonderful place to visit with your whole family!  Here are a few pics from our day!  ENJOY!
