Fiction/Nonfiction Letter Ee

It was excellent learning about the letter Ee.  We read Elmer, which is a beautiful story about a patchwork elephant that looks different from all the other elephants.  He thinks that he wants to look like the other elephants, but soon finds out that is great to be unique!  We read a nonfiction selection about African Elephants.  The children created their own Elmers for their journals.  They were able to use magic markers and they really enjoyed doing this!  (The simple things that make our doodlebugs happy!)
