Our Final Star Tells His Story!

Our final star student shared his story this week and what a treat we had!  We had visitors from his parents, 2 sets of grandparents and an aunt.  They came and shared wonderful stories and music with our class.  We learned about life long ago from his grandparents and his aunt played the guitar and sang songs with us.  We found out his mom and grandmother went to Pine Street School when they were little girls.  His family read some fun books to us.  His dad told us about his job with the City of Spartanburg and he brought lots of treasures from different places in Spartanburg!  Thanks for sharing your story with us!  We learned so much from your family!

We listened to a wonderful story about an elephant that found his voice!

We sang songs and we all got to strum the guitar!

Mom's picture was in the newspaper when she was 10 years old and a student at Pine Street School.  She was walking down Boyd Street!

The ant farm came and stayed for the week!

Lunch with mom!

Gran B shares her story about growing up in Virginia.

Looking at a map of Virginia.

Pops shares stories of growing up in Virginia and he brought a picture of himself when he was a little boy being pulled in a wagon by a goat!!

Lunch with Gran B and Pops.

We listen to stories from Boppa about when he was a little boy in school and his teacher's husband came to visit their class.  Mr. Teacher's Husband taught him how to wiggle his ears.

We are amazed that Boppa can wiggle his ears.  All the children tried their best to wiggle their ears, but we only had one that was able to do it!

Grammy was a former Pine Street 1st grade teacher and student.  Grammy shares wonderful stories with our class!

Our star student's Dad shares about his job with the City of Spartanburg.

Dad shares stories with the class about some of the things we can do in Spartanburg.  He brings each child a bag filled with treats.

Everyone gets a frisbee!
